Webb to face Rangers for first time of career

Logan Webb was brought up last season on August 17 and made his debut that evening against the Diamondbacks. He tossed 5 innings and allowed 1 run off 2 hits with 7 strikeouts and issued 1 walk. The Giants helped him get a win over Arizona as Webb went on to go 2-3 in 8 starts with a 5.22 ERA. San Francisco was 4-4 when the Rocklin High School alum would take the mound. He was drafted in the 4th round by San Francisco in the 2014 June Amateur draft.

The Texas Rangers will give the ball to Jordan Lyles. Lyles broke into the league in 2011 with the Rockies but spent last season with the Pirates and the Brewers. He had a combined record of 12-8 in 28 starts with a 4.15 ERA totaling 146 strikeouts in 141 innings. He has faced the Giants just once in his career. He got the win going 6 shutout innings and allowed 4 hits with 6 strikeouts and 1 walk while with the Pirates.
