Webb prevails as Giants snap losing streak

Logan Webb helped himself and the club snap their losing streak over with. Webb earned his first win of the year going 5 innings and allowing 2 runs (1 earned) off 4 hits with 4 strikeouts on the night. The Giants trailed 2-0 when Miike Yastrzemski reached on an error to begin the top of the 4th and Donovan Solano singled hi to 2nd base. Brandon belt came up and hit his 1st home run of the year to give the Giants a 3-2 lead, it was Belts 2nd career home run off Jon Gray. Belt doubled with 2 outs in the top of the 6th and was scored on a Wilmer Flores singled to give the team an insurance run in the later innings. The Giants are now 3-0 in Logan Webb starts this season.

The Rockies almost jumped out even farther in the NL West but the Giants snapped their winning streak. David Dahl reached on an error in the bottom of the 1st and advanced to 2nd base on a Logan Webb wild pitch. He went tp 3rd base on a Trevor Story lineout and then scored on a Charlie Blackmon single. Sam Hilliard singled to lead off the bottom of the 3rd and stole 2nd base and went to 4ed base on a Tony Wolters ground out. David Dahl hit a sacrifice fly to right field to put Colorado up 2-0. Nolana Arenado went yard for the 3rd straight game to make it a 4-3 game leading off the bottom of the 7th inning. Jon Gray took the loss going 6 innings and allowing 4 runs (3 earned) off 4 hits with a pair of strikeouts.
