Webb and Giants look to turn things around

Logan Webb will be tasked with today's start and look to get the Giants a win. He has only faced the Dodgers one other time, last season taking the loss over 6 innings allowing 2 runs off 6 hits. Webb was 2-3 last year during his rookie campaign in 9 starts with 39 strikeouts and a 4.95 ERA. The Giants offense has been outscored 17-2 in these first 2 games of the year and has gone 1-6 with 5 men left n scoring position. San Francisco has one extra-base hit, a Jaylin Davis solo shot on Opening Night.

Alex Wood will be making his first start of the year and back in a Dodgers uniform. Wood was traded with Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp to the Reds in 2018 and was 1-3 in 7 starts. He was bothered by a back injury that caused him to strike out only 30 batters in 35 2/3 innings with a 5.80 ERA. The University of Georgia alum is 4-3 in 15 career matchups against the Giants including 56 strikeouts in 9 starts.
