Tyler Anderson to make Giants debut

Former Rockies pitcher Tyler Anderson will make his Giants debut tonight against the Dodgers. Anderson signed with the Giants in December and against the Dodgers in his career is 3-5 in 13 starts with a 4.54 ERA with 55 strikeouts. The last time the University of Oregon alum faced Los Angeles was last season and went 4 innings and allowed 6 runs off 9 hits in a 10-6 loss with 2 strikeouts and 3 walks. While with the Rockies he was 18-24 in 73 games and had 367 strikeouts against 1683 batters faced.

Ross Stripling was almost traded to the Angles over the offseason but another trade for the Dodgers halted the talks. Stripling will take the place of Favid Price tonight and see if the Dodgers can start the season 2-0. Last season he was 4-4 in 32 games including15 starts and a 3.47 ERA totaling 93 strikeouts in 90 2/3 innings. The Texas A&M alum has faced the Giants 14 times and is 1-3 in those games with a 3.55 ERA.
