Shark dazzles but Giants/Brewers end in tie

Jeff Samardzija made his Spring Training debut and looked sharp in his outing. He threw 2 scoreless innings and allowed just 1 hit, 1 walk and struck out 1 batter. San Francisco got right to work in the bottom of the 1st when lead off batter Brandon Crawford singled and then was scored on an Evan Longoria double. Crawford launched his first home run of the Spring in the bottom of the 3rd to put the Giants up 2-0. He led all hitters with 2 of the teams 5 hits as the Giants bats went cold after averaging 9 through the first 4 games. Joey Bart opened up the bottom of the 9th with a double and Chris Shaw walked. Mauricio Dubon grounded into a double play and Bryce Johnson grounded out to end the game in a tie.

Josh Lindblom threw off a mound in the USA after being in Korea the last couple seasons. Lindblom went 2 innings and allowed 1 run off 2 hits with 3 strikeouts on the afternoon. Newly signed infielder Brock Holt had 2 of the teams 6 hits on the day but they were 0-9 with 7 runners left in scoring position before the top of the 9th. The club opened the inning with the bases loaded with no outs as Mario Feliciano doubled in 2 runs to cut the deficit to 1 run at 3-2. Lucas Erceg delivered the game tying hit with a single that scored Ryan Healy,

Tyler Beede will take the mound in his Spring Training debut in Peoria against Logan Gilbert and the Mariners.
