MadBum compensation pick used on Swiney

The San Francisco Giants will miss Madison Bumgarner but they picked up a pitcher thanks to the Arizona Diamondbacks. San Francisco received a 2nd compensation pick in today's draft and chose pitcher Nick Swiney.
Swiney attended NC State just like the Giant's first pick yesterday, Patrick Bailey. Swiney was an impressive 15-1 in 50 games for the Wolfpack and made just 8 starts striking out 174 batters in 115 1/3 innings with a 3.51 ERA.
The 21-year-old pitched in the Cape Cod League for the Cotuit Kettleers and made 2 appearances, allowing 1 run and going 1-0 with 4 strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
