De La Salle High School pitcher Kyle Harrison woke up this morning and suited up for the biggest day of his life. He got a phone call later on this afternoon with word that the team that plays in his backyard had drafted him. In 3 years at the varsity level for the Spartans, he hit just 1 home run with 23 RBIs and 7 doubles and had a .270 average. Harrison was better known for his work off the pitcher's mound for De La Salle going 21-1 in 29 appearances including 11 starts. The left-hander had a 1.19 ERA in 124 innings which included 192 strikeouts and walked only 53 batters while giving up just 5 home runs.
