Giants welcome DBacks for 4 game series

The San Francisco Giants are back at Oracle Park and ready for a 4 game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The club was just in Arizona a few days ago and took their first road series on the year. Tyler Anderson will kick off the series tonight back in San Francisco and will face Arizona for a 3rd time already. He is 1-1 against them this year which includes his first career complete game and only 7 strikeouts with a 4.61 ERA. Anderson is allowing the Diamondbacks to hit .235 off him with 12 hits. which includes 5 doubles and 1 home run. The Giants are coming off a 2 game split in Colorado and are in the final month of the season. Entering tonight's game they are a 1/2 game out of third place behind the Rockies who open a series with the Dodgers tonight.

Taylor Clarke will look to get a win tonight after his last start against the Giants went for a no-decision. He pitched 5 innings and allowed 1 run off 1 hit with 7 strikeouts and walked 1 batter. Arizona lost the game which was their 10th in their last 11 ballgames and just got swept by the Dodgers being outscored 14-6. Clarke is 0-0 on the road but has appeared in 4 games and made 2 starts with an ERA of 0.87 which includes 8 strikeouts and 6 walks but only 1 earned run. Funny thing, the Diamondbacks are 0-2 when he takes the start and 2-6 when he comes out of the bullpen.

First pitch is at 6:45 pm
