Giants take lead late but bullpen loses game

Tyler Anderson fared well against the team that first drafted him, however, he didn't come up with a decision. Anderson went 5 innings and allowed just 2 hits with 3 strikeouts and walked 2 batters. The Giants trailed just 1-0 going into the top of the 7th when Pablo Sandoval and Chadwick Tromp both singled with 2 outs to spark a rally. Mauricio Dubon went yard to put the Giants ahead 3-1 with his first home run of the year. Once Colorado pulled ahead. the Gants again rallies, Donovan Solano doubled and went to 3rd on an Evan Longoria fly out. Mike Yastrzemski singled in Solano and the Giants pulled it to a 6-4 game. Solano had 3 of the Giants 11 hits including 2 doubles to extend his hit streak to 11 games. Dubon and Sandoval also had multi-hit games, each had 2 hits,

Trevor Story broke a 0-0 pitching duel with a solo shot in the bottom of the 6th inning, his 5th of the year. Colorado trailed going into the bottom fo the 7th when Garrett Hampson doubled and went to 3rd on a wild pitch by Rico Garcia. Chris Owings doubled him in and the Daniel Murphy homered to put the Rockies on top 4-3. David Dahl kept the inning going with a single and after Trevor Story flew out, up came Charlie Blackmon. Blackmon took Giants reliever Caleb Baragar deep for his 2nd home run of the year to push their lead to 6-3. Story and Blackmon combined for 4-7 on the day with 3 RBIs and 2 homers. Starter Kyle Freeland had a no-decision with 3 runs off 8 hits allowed after 6 2/3 innings with 2 walks and 2 walks each.
