Giants non-tender fan favorite Pillar

Farhan Zaidi has made up his mind and has decided to non-tender outfielder Kevin Pillar and make him a free agent. The Giants also non-tendered Tyler Anderson and Joey Rickard, Anderson was recently claimed off the Rockies waivers and Rickard was claimed last season.

Pillar came over to the Giants in a trade at the beginning of the season that sent Alen Hanson, Derek Law and Juan De Paula to the Blue Jays. The 30 year old led the Giants with 595 at bats, 82 runs scored, 157 hits, 37 doubles, 87 RBIs and 14 stolen bases. Alex Dickerson had his contracted tendered at $925,000 and signed a new deal worth $1.2 million, Wandy Peralta also had his contracted tendered at $805.000 and inked a new one for $800,000. Donovan Solano was the 3rd Giants player whose contract was tendered at $1.375 million but his new deal will be slightly less at $1.2 to comeback to San Francisco.
