The San Francisco Giants will finally head back to Oracle Park after their 3-7 road trip concluded Wednesday evening. Mike Yastrzemski tripled to open the ball game and Alex Dickerson knocked a base hit up the middle to put the Giants up 1-0. San Francisco had 5 other hits on the evening, all singles and Yastrzemski had 3 hits total on the night. The Giants were 1-8 with 7 men left in scoring position. Trevor Cahill made his Giants debut, he lasted just 1 1/2 innings with 4 walks and struck out 2 batters, but his pitch count of 55 made his outing cut short. San Francisco is now 8-12 on the year and in last place in the NL West.

The Houston Astros took the series from the Giants and will host the Mariners for a weekend series starting Friday. Houston trailed 1-0 going into the bottom of the 5th when George Springer and Josh Reddick both coaxed 1 out walks before Alex Bregman came up and knocked in Springer to tie the game. Houston then walked the bases loaded to start the bottom of the 6th off of Giants reliever Caleb Baragar and then he threw a wild pitch while Martin Maldonado was batting to score Carlos Correa. Maldonado went yard on the next pitch to put the game at 5-1 with no outs. Bregman had 2 of the teams 9 hits on the night as just Maldonado's blast was the teams only extra-base hit on the evening. Starter Zack Grienke went 6 1/3 innings for his first win of the year with 7 strikeouts and allowed just 1 run off 7 hits.
