Giants look to get back in the win column

The San Franciso Giants have lost 3 in a row and are getting closer to being swept by their NL West rival Colorado Rockies. They currently sit at 5-7 in 4th place in the N West and though it may seem like they can turn it around, they have to and fast. San Francisco heads to Houston and Los Angeles to conclude this road trip. Those teams combined have a 14-8 record entering today, as the season was shortened to 60 games due to COVID-19 any losing streak is vital for the Giants playoff chances. Logan Webb will face the Rockies for the first time tonight in his career. He is still winless in 2 starts in the 2020 season with 6 strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings, but the Giants are 2-0 in those starts this year.

Jon Gray will also seek his first win of the 2020 campaign. He;'s made two starts for the Rockies with 5 strikeouts in 10 1/3 innings with a 2.61 ERA. The Rockies are 1-1 in those starts but Gray has hope he will get the club a third victory in this 4 game series with the Giants. The East Oklahoma State College alum faced the Giants 4 times last year and was 1-2 with 20 strikeouts. In his career, Gray is 1-4 in 10 total games against the Giants with 45 strikeouts and a 5.40 ERA.
