The San Francisco Giants have struck a minor league deal with former A's pitcher Andrew Tiggs. Tiggs was first drafted by the Indians in the 2010 amateur draft and then by the Giants in the 2011 draft and again didn't sign. He did however sign with the Royals out of USC in 2012. He never broke into the big leagues until he was selected off the Royals waiver wire by the Oakland A's where he spent 3 seasons.
The 27 year old right hander appeared in 45 games for the A's and made 27 starts going 9-8 with a 4.53 ERA collecting 148 strikeouts in 163 innings while issuing just 50 walks. Only making 1 start over 5 years in the minor league level, Triggs has appeared in 171 games going 14-10 with a 2.14 ERA striking out 256 in 257 innings while holding oppoents to hit .220 with a 1.05 WHIP.
