Tyler Anderson will make the start today and the 2nd against the Mariners in the last week. He pitched 6 shutout innings and allowed 3 hits with 4 strikeouts and walked 1 batter in the Giants 10-1 win. This is Anderson's first start in Seattle of his career and on the road he has a 7-13 record in 37 starts. He has a career road ERA of 5.56 with 172 strikeouts in 192 2/3 innings over 38 games. The Giants will sweep the Mariners with a season sweep with a win today to get above .500 with 12 games left.
Nick Margevicius will look for revenge and get himself and the Mariners a win tonight. A win would help them evade a series sweep as well as being swept in the season series against the Giants. Margevicius tossed just 4 2/3 innings with 7 runs allowed off 6 hits with 3 walks and struck out 6 batters last week and took the loss. The Mariners this year are 1-4 when he makes a start and will look to get back on track with the season winding down. Seattle has been outscored by the Giants 25-9 this season and is 7-5 in the month of September.
First pitch is at 1:10 pm
