Kevin Gausman pitched nicely in his Giants Spring Training debut today. He tossed 2 scoreless innings and allowed just 1 walk and struckout 1 batter on the day. Mike Yastrzemski had 2 hits on the day in 2 at bats.

Like his counter part, Drew Anderson tossed 2 shutout innings as well but allowed 2 hits and struckout 2 batters while walking 1 batter. The White Sox trailed 3-0 but creeped back in the bottom of the 4th when Eloy Jimenez singled in Jose Abreu. Luis Robert tripled to open the bottom of the 5th and then scored on a James McCann ground out to bring the Giants lead to 3-2. Daniel Palka coaxed a 1 out walk in the bottom of the 9th and then scored on a Adam Engel double that tied the game at 3-3. Engel scored on a Seby Zavala single that won the game for Chicago.

Jeff Samardzija takes the mound tomorrow against Eric Lauer and the Milwaukee Brewers.
