The San Francisco Giants added another arm to their farm system as they claimed Ryan Dull from the Oakland A's waiver wire. Dull spent his entire career with the A's after being drafted in the 32nd round out of the University of North Carolina Asheville. He was designated for assingment after the A's claimed catcher Dustin Garneau from the Angels.

While in the minors both with Sacramento and Nashville before the teams switched affiliates, Dull was 19-19 in 209 games and made 1 start collecting 348 strikeouts in 280.1 innings with a 2.66 ERA. He comes to a team in which he had a 0-1 record in 6 games with 9 earned runs in 4 total innings without striking anyone out.
He will report to AAA Sacramento.
