Giants/Brewers end game in another tie

San Francisco didn't snap their 3 game losing streak but they again tied with the Brewers. They trailed 1-0 heading into the top of the 2nd when Joe McCarthy walked and Mauricio Dubon doubled him to 3rd base. Tyler Heineman popped out but Yolmer Sanchez singled and Brewers second baseman Keston Hiura overthrew the first baseman Justin Smoak as both runners scored to give the Giants a 2-1 lead. Joe McCarthy added an insurance run in the top of the 4th with his first Spring Training home run. San Francisco broke a 3-3 tie in the top fo the 6th with a Zach Green double for his 4th RBI of the Spring. Kevin Gausman went 3 innings and allowed 1 run off 2 hits with 1 strikeout on the day.

The Milwaukee Brewers grabbed a quick 1-0 lead when Justin Smoak singled and after a Christian Yelich ground out that put Smoak on 2nd base. Keston Hiura singled Smoak into score the games first run. Hiura stepped into the batter's box in the bottom of the 4th inning and sent his 3rd Spring Training home run to the left-center field lawn. Lorenzo Cain tied the game with a single in the bottom of the 5th inning for his 1st RBi of the Spring. The Brewers had 3 straight singles in the bottom of the 8th inning to load the bases and the Giants were up 5-3. Andres Blanco came up after Lucas Erceg popped out and singled in Ryon Healy and Jace Peterson but Jacob Nottingham was out at 3rd base on a Joey Rickard throw from centerfield. Former Giants pitcher Phil Bickford struck out the side in the top of the 9th against his former team, Bickford came over to the Brewers in a trade with Andrew Susac that sent Will Smith to the Giants. Starter Josh Lindblom tossed 4 innings and allowed 3 runs off 3 hits with 5 strikeouts and walked 1 batter.

San Francisco will host the White Sox with Trevor Cahill going against Dallas Keuchel from Scottsdale Stadium.
