Gausman's turn for Spring debut in Giants uni

Kevin Gausman will throw on a Giants uniform today and make his Spring Training debut for the Giants. He signed with the club back in December and looks to be a part of the Giants rotation come opening day. The LSU alum will face a White Sox club in which he has faced just 4 times including 2 starts. He has no record against the White Sox but does have an ERA of 1.26 which includes 16 strikeouts in 14.1 innings and just 2 walks. Last season he spent time with the Reds before the Braves picked him up off waivers and went a combined 3-9 in 31 games totaling 114 strikeouts but had a 5.72 ERA. The 29 year old has never had a winning season but did go 7-7 in 2014 while with the Orioles.

Drew Anderson was getting used to being a part of the Phillies organization for the first 8 years of his career. Unfortunately for him, Philadelphia released him last season but the White Sox signed him a couple months later. The Reno native appeared in only 2 games for the Phillies last season and didn't factor any decisions in 6 innings of work. Anderson struck out 6 batters with a 7.50 ERA and 0-6 in 11 games at the Minor league level and has never faced the Giants.

First pitch is at 12:05pm
