Gausman ready for 2nd start of Spring

Kevin Gausman pitched well in his Giants debut last week against the White Sox. Unfortunately the Giants bullpen couldn't save the game and the were walk-off winners; Gausman tossed 2 scoreless innings and allowed just 1 walk and struckout 1 batter and today he takes on the Padres. It will be the first time of his career facing San Diego as Ian Kinsler has the best success off him, hitting .444 (8-18) with 2 doubles and a homer.

Joey Lucceshi takes on the Giants today and has faced them 7 times in the first his first two seasons with San Diego. He is 2-2 in those 7 starts with a 3.52 ERA and in his last meeting against San Francisco he had a no decision. San Diego won 4-1 but the Newark native pitched 6 innings of 1 run ball, he allowed 8 hits with 3 strikeouts and issued 1 walk. He was 10-10 in 30 starts last year and pitched 2 innings last week against Oakland. He allowed 1 run off 1 hit with a walk and strikeout apiece for a no decision in the Padres 9-6 win.

First pitch is at 12:10pm
