Emery signs with childhood team Giants

Updated: Jun 28

Robert Emery went to Giants games as a kid and will now have the chance to play for the team he grew up watching. Emery attended the University of San Francisco and is primarily a catcher, but also plays first base and can be seen in centerfield. In only 3 years at USF he hit .310 with 21 doubles and 7 homers with 50 RBIs, he struck out just 66 times with 41 coming in his Junior year. He transferred over his freshman year from Dartmouth but while there he had a .275 batting average on the year, driving in 18 runs with 2 homers. He joins the Giants on an undrafted free agent deal.
