Dyson shipped to Twins for 3 players

GIANTS GET:

Pitchers Prelander Berroa and Kai-Wai Teng Outfielder Jaylin Davis

Berroa was 6-1 in 26 Twins rookie league games including 18 starts. He totaled 94 strikeouts in 91 innings with a 3.96 ERA and was signed to a minor league deal with Minnesota back in 2016 out of the Dominican Republic.

Kai-Wei Teng signed a minor league deal with the Twins in 2017 and was 7-3 in 19 games (17 starts) and never broke the bigs. He had 96 strikeouts in 93.1 innings and a 2.51 ERA.

Jaylin Davis was the outfielder sent over to the Giants in today's deal. Davis was drafted out of Appalachian State in the 24th round in the 2015 amateur draft and never saw the MLB. He's spent 4 seasons in the minors totaling 67 homers and 227 RBIs with 9 triples and 79 doubles while hitting .270 in 1510 at bats. 

TWINS GET:

Pitcher Sam Dyson

Dyson was acquired via a trade with the Rangers in 2017, the Giants sent cash and minor league outfielder to Texas.  He appeared in 161 games for the Giants over 3 years with an 11-8 record and had 19 saves. Dyson struck out 130 batters in 159.1 innings with a 2.94 ERA.
