Cueto on the bump in possible clincher

Johnny Cueto may be making the biggest start while in a Giants uniform. Tonight if the Brewers and Phillies lose, and the Giants win, the club will be in the postseason after last night's derailment. Cueto is facing the Padres for a 3rd time this season after going 0-1 already in the previous two with an ERA of 8.80 totaling 6 strikeouts and walks each in just 9 innings of work.

Zach Davies will stand in the Giants way as they have already cliched the 2nd seed in the NL West at 35-23. Davies is 7-4 in 11 starts on the year with 60 striekouts and a 2.85 ERA and tonight faces the Giants for a 2nd time. He got the victory back on July 28 on the 5th game of the season. Davies pitched 5 innings and allowed 3 runs (2 earned) with 5 striekouts in the Padres 5-3 at Oracle Park.

First pitch is at 6:15 pm
