Cats score 17 runs-pound out 15 hits in 17-7 route of Isotopes

The Sacramento Rivercats had a field day Tuesday night at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque.

There were at least 6 players on the Cats who had at least 2 hits in the game with Mac Williamson going deep twice.

Three players had at least 2 RBIs while Abiatal Avelino and Williamson had 3 each and Mike Gerber led the way with 4 on the night.

The Rivercats pushed across 9 runs in the top of the 5th inning and led 17-6 after 6 innings. The club roughed up starter Ryan Casetllani over 4 innings, having 6 hits and 9 runs scored (8 earned) with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks while coughing up 4 home runs. Isotopes reliever Mitch Horacek gave up 8 runs off 9 hits with a walk and strikeout each over 1.1 innings.

Rivercats starter Enderson Franco had a no decision but Sacramento's bullpen allowed just 2 hits and 2 runs with 3 walks over the last 5 innings and had 7 strikeouts.

After tonight's win the Cats improved to 13-12 to push their 1st place lead to 2 games over the Fresno Grizzlies.
