Barraclaugh heads to the Giants

The San Francisco Giants announced they have signed hometown kid and former St Marys College pitcher Kyle Barraclough to a minors deal. Barraclough was with the Nationals at the beginning of the season but was DFA'd and finished with a 1-2 record in 33 games with a 6.66 ERA totaling 30 strikeouts in 25.2 innings.

​The 29 year old righty was first drafted by the Twins in 40th round of the 2011 amateur draft but didn't sign until he was drafted by the Cardinals in 2012. Barraclaugh was taken in the 7th round but then traded in 2015 to the Marlins for Steve Cishek and then traded to the Nationals in 2018.

Barraclaugh has a career record of 16-14 in 260 games and has 11 career saves with 309 strikeouts in 244.1 innings and a 3.57 ERA.

He will report to AAA Sacramento.

The Giants also announced that Travis Bergen has been reinstated from the IL and Sam Selman has been optioned back to AAA Sacramento.

Steven Duggar has been transferred to the 60-day IL, which will be the rest of the season.
