Anderson to use last start as motivator

Tyler Anderson pitched well in his last start, but took a no decision against his former team. The former Colorado Rockies pitched tossed 5 innings and allowed just 2 hits with 3 strikeouts and walked 2 batters. Tonight he faces the Houston Astros for the firsr time since the 2018 season when he went 0-1 in 2 starts with a 7.71 ERA totaling only 8 strikeouts.

Brandon Bielak will look for his first win off the mound in a start rather than in relief. The University of Notre Dame alum has gone 2-0 in 3 games including 1 start for the Astros this year. He has never faced the Giants until tonight as he was 20-13 in 58 minor league games totaling 292 strikeouts and a 3.11 ERA. Bielak has just 7 strikeouts in 10.1 innings which equates to 41 batters faced on the year.

First pitch is at 6:10 pm
