Anderson and Duggar to IL, Rickard and Selman up

The San Francisco Giants are placing pitcher Shaun Anderson on the injured list with blisters on his fingers and Stephen Duggar with a sore shoulder. The team is calling Sam Selman back to the club after just sending him back to AAA Sacramento and Joey Rickard will join the club as well.

Shaun Anderson made 16 starts for the Giants and went 3-4 with a 5.33 ERA and totaled 55 strikeouts in 82.2 innings.

Steven Duggar had just rejoined the club for a week and hit .231 (3-11) with a double and no homers or RBIs.

Sam Selmon was recently optioned back to AAA Sacramento so he'll rejoin the club. He appeared in 4 games with the club, recording 4 strikeouts in 4 innings for the Giants with a 6.75 ERA

Joey Rickard gets another shot at being in the majors after appearing in the MLB with the Orioles from 2016-2019 and hit .245 with 19 homers and 67 RBIs. Rickard was claimed off the Orioles waiver wire in June and has been down in AAA Sacramento hitting .311 with 8 homers and 30 RBIs totaling 20 doubles and 2 triples in 212 at bats.
