Abad, Selman and Venditte all go to El Paso


Fernando Abad, Sam Selman and Pat Venditte have all been selected to represent the Sacramento Rivercats in the mid-Summer classic from El Paso.

Abad signed with the Giants in February and has pitched great this year.

He is 0-2 with Sacramento but has 10 saves in 12 opportunities with an ERA of 2.30 totaling 38 strikeouts.

Selman was a late signing but inked with the Giants in March and has appeared in 29 games for the Rivercats making just 1 start and is 3-1 with 67 strikeouts in 40 innings of work while owning a 1.35 ERA.

Venditte signed with the Giants in December has a 4-2 record with a 3.19 ERA striking out 53 batters in 42.1 innings.
